Soon, they are attacked by the robots, who seem to have recognized the meteor Sonic is holding and barely escape. Tails gives Sonic a meteor which he thinks might be from the events last night. The next day, Team Heroes are on their way to Megalo Station in Monopole when they hear about the news on the radio. It activates, along with others and goes on a rampage. One crashes into the Crimson Tower and rolls into the back of a MeteorTech robot.
The story begins when shooting stars crash into the planet. You’re not going to get some PS4 or Xbox One X-style experiences out of the game with pseudo-4K assets and meshes, but if you enjoyed the original outing and wanted something faster, more challenging and with proper netplay support, you can’t go wrong with the “Regravitified” mod.Īt least it’s much faster and more stable than either outing on the original Wii or PS2, both of which suffered from frame drops, blurry resolution, and input lag on the actual machines.Īlso, the split-screen mode is still intact, so that’s worth something, too.Spoiler warning: Plot, ending details or any kind of information follow. This is to fit in line with the original Sonic Riders, so that no matter what changes you make to the gears, the class types will still stay the same.īoost has returned, along with being able to attack and access shortcuts. Some of the biggest changes include bringing back the racer types, which includes speed, power, and flying. It’s unfortunate that they don’t offer an easy installation guide right there in the YouTube trailer, but if you’re familiar with how emulation works, you will need the Dolphin emulator for the Wii and a copy of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. You can download the mod right now from over on the Zero Gravity Labs Discord channel. The mod includes all new abilities, a complete rework of the gear system, and improved netplay. An overhaul of Sega’s Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity called “Regravitified” has been released by Zero Gravity Labs for the emulated version of the Wii release.
